A revival of Circa Lunar, a calendar that keeps time by the moon

c. lunar is the companion to c. solar — a fan revival of Circa Lunar, the moon calendar Ted Hunt designed and funded on Kickstarter in 2020 before it was discontinued. Where the solar clock follows one day, this one follows the month: the Gregorian grid of uneven months gives way to the 13-Moon calendar, thirteen months of twenty-eight equal days plus a single Day Out of Time, with the year turning over on July 26th.

Alongside that, it shows the moon as it actually is tonight — the real astronomical phase, how much of it is lit, and how many days until the next new or full moon — across day, month, and year views, in English and Spanish. It’s an independent recreation, not affiliated with Ted Hunt, and open source under MIT.
